loggers jeans have no hems::Now, i would definitely hem these.
I really like cuffs on blue jeans but on this material it ruins the silhouette.
For photos, the trick is to press the trigger half way to get the autofocus to to acquire focus.
Then press the button down all the way.
Do not let go in between.
Halfpress 1, then halfpress 2.
Leave the finger on the button and the button depressed until half a second after you heard the shutter sound.
Keep elbows close to the body or, if possible, brace against something.
Always use both hands even on a small camera.
Sorry for the ot but if it helps get pictures it was good for something.
